The Layers Of The Rainforest
They are four layers in a rainforest. The emergents is the highest layer, the canopy is the layer below the emergents, the understorey is under the canopy and the forest floor is the lowest layer.
The Biosphere:
The rainforest has lots of aimals like insects, worms, reptiles, arachnids, amphibians, birds and mammals,
What are some types of...
Insects? Butterflies and Beetles,
Arachnids? Spiders and Ticks,
Reptiles? Snakes and Lizards,
Amphibians? Frogs and Toads,
Birds? Parrots and Toucans,
Mammals? Sloths and Jaguars.
These insects live in different layers of the rainforest. Insects live in nearly everywhere, big and heavy animals live on the forest floor and birds live in the canopy and in the emergents. Some animals like sloths live in the trees.

There are also lots of different coloured and unique species of plants. They are
everywhere and found in every layer of the rainforest. Also, some humans live in
the rainforest.

The Lithosphere:
There are lots of fossil fuels and sedimentary rocks in the lithosphere in a rainforest. The lithosphere weight is only 0.032% carbon. The rocks in the lithosphere include limestone, dolomite and chalk.
The Hydrosphere:
All rainforests have huge amounts of precipitation. It is an important part of the rainforest to keep it healthy and alive. It helps animals stay alive and keep plants hydrated. Water is almost found everywhere.

The Atmosphere:
Trees convert carbon dioxide that was breathed out by animals into oxygen. The trees release the oxygen into the atmosphere. The trees do this by their leaves. If the trees did not do this, life on Earth can not continue. This is because animals breathe in the oxygen and when they breathe out, carbon dioxide is released from their body.
Extra Information:
Most of the tropical rainforests or maybe all are located between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. The three types of rainforests are:
- Montane
- Tropical
- Monsoon
Palm trees live in rainforests and this is where palm olive soap comes from.
